The apartment is in La Panthiaz, a hamlet near the village of La Chapelle-d’Abondance. The village centre is just 1.5km away, and a bus stops in front of the property, allowing you to reach shops and amenities without a car. You can also get to the Portes du Soleil resort of Châtel, just 4km away.
The Panthiaz gondola lift is just 450m from the property, giving winter guests easy access to the slopes. Outside the ski season, numerous hiking and biking trails wind around the property, and you can enjoy a wide range of activities and events in the surrounding resorts.
About the property…
Loft de la Panthiaz is a particularly spacious apartment, combining what was once two separate properties into one large living space. There’s plenty of room for up to 11 guests (including 10 adults), with five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The entrance to the property leads to a hallway which opens onto the modern kitchen. It has everything you’ll need during your stay, including a breakfast bar that overlooks the living area. Two sofas and two armchairs are arranged in front of the TV in a space that is bathed in natural light. Nearby, a large dining table allows your whole group to enjoy meals together.

In the sleeping area, two double bedrooms also overlook the terrace. Both have their own bathroom, as well as a WC. Another double bedroom off the entrance hallway has an en-suite shower room with WC. There are two more bedrooms on the right-hand side of the apartment: one is a double bedroom and the other sleeps two adults and a child in a double bed with a single bunk bed above it. These two rooms share a shower room. All bedrooms have a desk and the property also has three separate WCs.
On the practical side, Loft de la Panthiaz has a private garage with a storage area, where you can keep bikes and ski equipment, as well as two additional parking spaces outside. There’s also a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Please note that the property – particularly the bedroom with the double bed and single bunk – is suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

Loft de la Panthiaz is in La Pantiaz, a hamlet in the commune of La Chapelle-d’Abondance, near Châtel.
La Chapelle-d'Abondance is one of the 12 resorts that make up the vast Portes du Soleil ski area. This beautiful region is a paradise for hikers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you prefer a leisurely walk and a picnic by Lake Vonnes, or a thrilling ride across the valley on the Fantasticable zip line, you will find a wide range of activities for everyone.
In winter, you will have access to more than 650km of pistes across France and Switzerland and nearly 200 ski lifts, all covered by the Portes du Soleil lift pass. La Chapelle-d’Abondance also has areas for Nordic and cross-country skiing, and night skiing is available once a week on the red run at Linga, in Châtel.
During the rest of the year, La Chapelle-d’Abondance offers a wide range of activities, particularly for cyclists. Experienced mountain bikers can take on the 13km Mont de Grange loop or the long 50km circuit of the bike park, starting from La Béchigne. Road cyclists can enjoy spectacular views over Lake Montriond at the end of a 17km climb to the Col de Bassachaux. The 54km route from the Col du Corbier to Abondance reveals stunning views of Mont Billiat.
If you would like to explore the region, you will be just 30km from Lake Geneva and the elegant spa town of Évian-les-Bains. Stroll along the waterfront, wander through the narrow pedestrian streets and summer market, or take a cruise across the lake to Switzerland!

“This sublime apartment is exceptional in every way”
Loft de la Panthiaz, ideally situated between Châtel and La Chapelle, has everything going for it: plenty of space, a high standard of comfort, and a magnificent, cosy living room which, thanks to its large bay window, is bathed in natural light and offers an extraordinary view.
Nothing is missing; all the bedrooms offer outstanding comfort, including the bedding. One has its own shower room and toilet, and another has its own bathroom and toilet, not to mention a superb master bedroom. A shower room and toilet are located near the other bedrooms. These facilities are extremely practical for a stay with family or friends.
The size of the rooms adds to the comfort.
In summer, the large terrace allows everyone, young and old, to enjoy delightful evenings. In winter, the magnificent living room offers the chance to enjoy cosy moments.

Loft de la Panthiaz is a charming, bright and comfortable apartment, close to the slopes and the region’s activities. Its spacious layout, created by combining two apartments, allows 11 guests (including 10 adults) to enjoy the Alpine surroundings at their own pace.
The five bedrooms all have double beds, and one also has a single bunk bed. Three of the bedrooms have private bathrooms, providing extra comfort and privacy.
The welcoming living area at the heart of the property enjoys wonderful views of the peaks. Glass doors open onto a spacious garden with a furnished terrace, perfect for relaxing in the sun during the warmer months.

Although we live year-round in Brittany, we have been coming to La Chapelle-d’Abondance since 1987, the year the La Panthiaz gondola was opened – proof that we love this valley, and not just in winter.
As our family has grown, we chose to settle in a large, easily-accessible apartment that is practical in all seasons and for all ages. The layout allows everyone to enjoy their own routines and independence.
